Maybe you should advertise or at least try to make your forum appear on the first google page when someone is seeking a forum about Frasier. When I first learned of your new forum I didn't know that you had given the link in your signature. So I tried to find it using all sorts of combinations of words and I couldn't and yet I am an experienced google user. I heard there are tricks to make your site appear on the first page of most searches.

I just would like you to get as many members as your nice forum deserves.

I'm sorry but it does take time. I've noticed with other forums and my forums especially, that it doesn't appear on Google straightaway. It could be a few months at least before we get onto Google's top page. I've emailed Stu (if he's still there) to see if he can mark our new forum in bold or rather, link to it. That way visitors to his site can see us and move over to our site.

A link would be great or even a 'fixed' post like Stu's one about the freeze.
The website is still active somehow. How does the 'Coming up in the Google search' thing work?

I have received an email back from Stu, he has kindly linked to this site on his home page saying it is a new forum set up by a former member. So hopefully that should get us a lot of members. The google search thing works by the amount of views to a forum. I don't know how much it has to be but the more visits a site has, the more likely it is to be on the google first page sooner.
